These are the key dates for the 2022-2023 school year. A more detailed calendar, with professional development days and public holidays for the year, will be available by the end of June. This calendar reflects Eastgate Academy’s commitment to offering students at least 1000 hours of instruction each year.

Tuesday, September 6Opening Assembly for students and families from 8:30-10:30; all students dismissed at 10:30, no after school care available
Wednesday, September 7First full day for students, before- and after school care available (7:30-8:30; 3:30-5:30)
Monday, November 7 – Tuesday, November 8Student-Led Conferences, no scheduled classes; families come to school for their conference appointment
Wednesday, November 9Friday, November 11 School closed for mid-term break
Friday, December 16Last day of classes before winter break: dismissal at noon, after-school care available until 4:00
Monday, January 9School re-opens after winter break; full day for students, before- and after school care available
Friday, March 3Last day of classes before March break: dismissal at noon, after-school care available until 4:00
Monday, March 20 School re-opens after March break; full day for students, before- and after school care available
Friday, April 21Student-Led Conferences, no scheduled classes; families come to school for their conference appointment
Friday, June 23Closing day: assembly for students and families at 11:00, dismissal at noon, no after school care available
