Olivia Veilleux

Ms. Veilleux has a wealth of experience in office administration and working with families, making her the ideal person to to welcome guests and families to Eastgate Academy. Ms. Veilleux is currently on maternity leave.

Heidi Miller

Office Manager

Heidi Miller joins the Eastgate Community with extensive experience in office administration across sectors.  Miss. Miller has a huge love of learning, children and the arts.  Pursuing a Masters in Psychology, Miss Miller is passionate about the experiential journey of childhood education and the lasting, positive impacts and possibilities it provides. This is Miss. Miller’s first year at Eastgate Academy as the Office Manager.

Jennifer Landry

Director of Community Development

Jennifer Landry grew up in Riverview, NB, and is a graduate of Mount Allison University. Mrs. Landry’s previous work experience lies within the field of post-secondary education in both the private and public sectors. She is experienced in both Recruitment and Community Engagement and possesses a strong passion for education. Mrs. Landry is eager and enthusiastic to share what Eastgate Academy has to offer within our Greater Moncton Community. She plans to create a positive impact on the growth of Eastgate Academy and its bright future. This is Mrs. Landry’s first year at Eastgate Academy as Director of Community Development.

Elizabeth Godfrey

Middle Years Educator, DP Coordinator

After completing multiple long-term supply positions with the NB Anglophone South School District and teaching internationally in southern China, Miss. Godfrey is now joining the wonderful team at Eastgate Academy. She is a qualified IB teacher (PYP and MYP) with experience using the NB and BC curricula. She has previously taught French Immersion mathematics, French language acquisition, and middle and high school science courses.

James Harper

PYP Educator

Originally from Scarborough, Ontario, James’ self-directed life inquiries led him on a multitude of international adventures and work experiences, culminating in a professional teaching position in 2005. Since then, James has worked in the Canadian Arctic, Asia, the Middle East, and New Brunswick. He has seven years of overseas experience as a qualified IB PYP teacher and is dedicated to student-centred growth, employing student agency, data-driven instruction, creative inquiry to meet the individualised learning needs of his students. James and his family returned to Canada in 2019, where he has worked with the Anglophone East District School Board and assists with Treesong Learning Studio’s preschool and afterschool programs. This is James’ first year at Eastgate Academy, and he is thrilled to continue his educational journey with the growing Eastgate community.

Janic Barrington

French, Arts Educator

Janic Barrington, originally from Ottawa, Ontario, and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, is an experienced educator and University of Ottawa alumna. With four years of teaching at the Western Quebec School Board, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her new roles as a French and Art teacher at Eastgate Academy. Eager and enthusiastic, Janic is excited to contribute to Eastgate Academy’s growth and make a positive impact on the Greater Moncton Community in her first year with the institution.

Kathryn Crossman

Middle Years Coordinator, Middle Years Educator

Kathryn Crossman joined the Eastgate community during its inaugural year (2021-2022) after teaching and leading internationally in southern China, and teaching  in the Anglophone East School District.  She brings a wealth of experience with the IB, having taught in both the Middle Years and Diploma programs. With one of her passions being service learning, Kathryn is always seeking ways to collaborate with students while they explore opportunities to serve the needs of various communities and learn more about themselves in the process. 

Morgan MacDonald

Middle Years Educator

Morgan MacDonald grew up in Salisbury, NB and has spent the last 5 years teaching a wide range of subjects in the English Prime, Intensive French, and French Immersion programs in the Anglophone East School District. Most recently, she has spent the last year teaching grade 6 French Immersion Math and Science. Her passion lies in social-emotional learning and fostering a love for learning through student choice and project-based learning. Morgan is eager to start her new adventure with Eastgate Academy in the 2024-2025 school year!

Sarah Fitzpatrick

PYP Educator, PYP Coordinator

Sarah Fitzpatrick grew up in Riverview, NB and after twelve years of teaching in international IB schools she is returning home to join the team at Eastgate Academy! Ms. Fitzpatrick has worked in a variety of teaching and leadership roles in her previous schools and is excited to bring her experience to Eastgate. Sarah is always seeking to find ways to help kids uncover their potential, passions and curiosities as well as build agency within her classroom and the school.
